Rat SOD1/Superoxide dismutase 1 ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of SOD1 in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format and a colorimetric readout. The kit is intended for research applications and supports detection in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Sensitivity is reported as 0.469 ng/mL, with an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and include a pre-coated dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), plate sealer, and a technical manual.

The assay workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples, and blanks, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding the biotin-labeled detection antibody with a 37°C incubation for 60 minutes, binding HRP-Streptavidin at 37°C for 30 minutes, developing color with TMB in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after stop solution. Reported linearity spans 80–105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions; recovery ranges are 86–101% for serum (average 92%), 93–104% for EDTA plasma (average 98%), and 85–103% for heparin plasma (average 91%).
