Rat Smad7/MADH7 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative, colorimetric detection of Smad7/MADH7 in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. All components are stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months. The protocol involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, and a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding step, followed by TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution is added. SMAD7 is a key intracellular regulator of proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, and contributes to signalling pathways implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders and fibrosis, so this kit is intended for research into disease mechanisms and the development of targeted therapies.

Validation data are supplied for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls within 85–97%, 86–98% and 88–93% for serum; 84–94%, 84–98% and 90–95% for EDTA plasma; and 83–98%, 82–99% and 83–97% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 89–103% (average 96%) for serum, 88–99% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 86–103% (average 99%) for heparin plasma.
