Rat SLIT2/Slit homolog 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of SLIT2 (Slit Homolog 2) in rat samples. It uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with kit components stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) was 88-103%, 88-100% and 80-92% for serum; 98-104%, 82-97% and 84-94% for EDTA plasma; and 86-105%, 85-100% and 82-99% for heparin plasma (n=5 each). Recovery ranges averaged 94% for serum (90-101%), 93% for EDTA plasma (86-104%) and 97% for heparin plasma (87-105%).

The protocol uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, SABC binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. SLIT2 is a secreted protein implicated in neuronal development, axon guidance and angiogenesis, with dysregulation linked to a range of disorders, making the kit relevant to cell biology research.
