Rat SLC6A4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of SLC6A4 in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a colorimetric readout generated by TMB substrate, achieving a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL across a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

SLC6A4, also known as the serotonin transporter (synonyms: 5HT transporter, 5HTT, solute carrier family 6 member 4; UniProt P31652), mediates the reuptake of serotonin in neurotransmission. Dysregulation of SLC6A4 has been implicated in depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, making this kit a relevant tool for neuroscience research into serotonin signalling and associated mental health conditions in rat models.

Reported performance includes linearity in serum (87–103% at 1:2, 85–105% at 1:4, 92–105% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (86–98%, 85–99%, 82–100%), and heparin plasma (82–98%, 82–98%, 85–96%). Spike-and-recovery averages were 96% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 91% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
