Rat SLC11A2/NRAMP2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of SLC11A2/NRAMP2 in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a colorimetric detection method.

Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL, with an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Kit components should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. Linearity was demonstrated by spiking samples with appropriate concentrations of rat SLC11A2 and testing serial dilutions. For serum (n=5), recoveries at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 were 91-104%, 82-101% and 81-98% respectively. EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 87-104%, 82-94% and 89-100%, and heparin plasma (n=5) gave 90-102%, 87-100% and 84-93%. Spike-and-recovery testing yielded the following ranges and averages: serum (n=5) 87-105%, average 99%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 86-101%, average 96%; heparin plasma (n=5) 92-100%, average 95%.

SLC11A2, also known as NRAMP2, is a metal ion transporter with a central role in iron homeostasis and immune response, and it is associated with aliases such as DCT1, DMT1, DMT-1, divalent cation transporter 1 and divalent metal transporter 1.
