Rat SGLT2/Sodium/glucose cotransporter 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate, quantitative detection of Sodium Glucose Cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) in rat samples. The kit is intended for research into diabetes, kidney function and metabolic diseases, where SGLT2 serves as a key target owing to its role in renal glucose reabsorption and glucose homeostasis. Synonyms for the analyte include SGLT2 and SLC5A2 (Uniprot P53792).

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) signal generation, developed with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL with a standard range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity in serum (n=5) spans 85-102% (1:2), 82-97% (1:4) and 84-99% (1:8); EDTA plasma (n=5) 85-103%, 86-97% and 87-100%; heparin plasma (n=5) 85-105%, 87-101% and 83-94%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 91% (serum, range 85-98%), 96% (EDTA plasma, range 88-103%) and 94% (heparin plasma, range 86-104%).
