SOX2 (Sex Determining Region Y Box Protein 2) is a transcription factor essential for maintaining pluripotency in embryonic stem cells and self-renewal of neural progenitor cells. This assay from Assay Genie supports quantification of SOX2 protein expression in rat models of neural development, regenerative medicine, and oncology research, where SOX2 dysregulation is implicated in glioblastoma and squamous cell carcinoma.

The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, standards, and reagents sufficient for 96 determinations.
