Rat SERPINB2/Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit employing a double-antibody format for the quantitative detection of SerpinB2, also known as Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-2, in rat samples. The kit is designed to measure this regulator of the fibrinolytic system, which inhibits tissue-type plasminogen activator and has been linked to inflammation, cancer, and thrombosis. It is intended for cardiovascular research applications and reacts specifically with rat SERPINB2 (UniProt P29524).

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL, with recommended storage at 2–8°C for 12 months. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 93–103%, 82–96% and 87–100% for serum (n=5); 88–102%, 85–99% and 82–94% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 94–105%, 88–101% and 80–99% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges and averages are 87–97% (91%) for serum, 89–102% (96%) for EDTA plasma, and 86–103% (94%) for heparin plasma.

The assay workflow includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody (100X), HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer and a technical manual.
