Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Serpin G1 (C1INH) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method in a double-antibody format. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Associated identifiers include Uniprot Q6P734, with the protein referenced under synonyms including C1INH, SERPING1, C1IN, C1NH, HAE1, HAE2, C1 Inhibitor, Plasma protease C1 inhibitor, Serpin G1, C1 esterase inhibitor, and C1-inhibiting factor. The listed research area is cardiovascular.

Sensitivity is stated at 4.688 ng/mL with a standard range of 7.813-500 ng/mL. Linearity (n = 5) is reported at dilutions 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 in serum (90-98%, 83-100%, 85-98%), EDTA plasma (86-96%, 85-90%, 80-91%), and heparin plasma (90-103%, 92-101%, 80-96%). Recovery ranges are 92-101% in serum (average 98%), 93-98% in EDTA plasma (average 96%), and 88-100% in heparin plasma (average 95%).

The procedure comprises reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10-20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Serpin G1 (C1INH) is described as a key regulator of the complement system and inflammatory pathways, with dysregulation implicated in autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions.
