Rat SERCA3/Sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 3 ELISA Kit

Designed for the detection and quantification of SERCA3 (Sarcoplasmic/Endoplasmic Reticulum Calcium ATPase 3) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody method with colorimetric readout. The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. SERCA3, also referenced by the synonyms Atp2a3, Calcium pump 3, and SR Ca2+-ATPase 3, is a critical enzyme involved in calcium transport within the sarcoplasmic and endoplasmic reticulum and plays a key role in muscle contraction and relaxation.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. The kit is intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months. In validation studies, serum samples (n = 5) showed linearity of 98–104% at 1:2, 91–104% at 1:4, and 89–102% at 1:8, with EDTA plasma at 82–86%, 82–101%, and 83–93%, and heparin plasma at 83–96%, 90–99%, and 80–97% across the same dilutions. Recovery ranged from 87–102% (average 93%) for serum, 88–102% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–105% (average 97%) for heparin plasma. The assay is targeted at cell biology research, including studies of cardiac and neurodegenerative conditions linked to SERCA3 dysregulation.
