Rat SELP (P-Selectin) ELISA Kit (RTES00694)

P-Selectin (CD62P) is a transmembrane adhesion glycoprotein central to leukocyte rolling during vascular inflammation, and the Assay Genie SELP ELISA Kit gives rat-research laboratories a microplate-based quantitative read-out of this biomarker. P-Selectin is stored in Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells and in alpha-granules of platelets; upon cellular activation it is rapidly translocated to the plasma membrane, where it engages P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1). The assay is supplied as a microplate, supports high-throughput processing, and is labeled for research use only, addressing studies of thrombosis, sepsis, ischemic-reperfusion injury, atherosclerosis, and endothelial activation in rodent disease models.
