Rat Selectin, Leukocyte (SELL) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie rat SELL immunoassay provides quantitative measurement of leukocyte selectin, also known as L-selectin or CD62L, in specimens derived from rat experimental models. SELL is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein constitutively expressed on circulating leukocytes and rapidly shed from the cell surface upon activation, so its soluble form serves as a circulating marker of leukocyte rolling, endothelial adhesion, and acute inflammatory responses.

Applications include studies of neutrophil and lymphocyte recruitment, ischemia-reperfusion injury, sepsis models, transplant rejection, and airway inflammation. The kit accepts a broad panel of rat-derived specimens, including plasma and serum fractions, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants, supporting parallel testing of matched samples from whole-animal studies and primary cell or explant cultures.

Each kit includes reagents sufficient for 96 assays run on a microplate, with an absorbance-based endpoint read on standard laboratory plate readers. Components are shipped refrigerated to preserve binding activity, and the workflow uses conventional incubation and wash steps. Intended for research use only.
