Rat Secretogranin-3 (Scg3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit is designed for quantitative measurement of rat Secretogranin-3 (Scg3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with rat samples and specific for natural and recombinant rat Secretogranin-3.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 5.7%. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions returned 85-119% for serum, 82-97% for EDTA plasma and 99-114% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery averaged 86% (range 80-92%) in serum and 88% (range 82-94%) in plasma. The target protein is catalogued under UniProt P47868 with a molecular weight of 53,183 Da.

Secretogranin-3 is described as a regulator of secretory pathways and neurotransmitter release, with reported roles in hormone secretion, neuronal signaling and immune response modulation.
