Rat Secretogranin-2 (Scg2) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of rat Secretogranin-2 (Scg2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The double-antibody format uses a biotin-conjugated detection antibody with HRP-conjugated avidin, producing a colorimetric signal with a TMB substrate that is read at 450 nm.

The assay detects both natural and recombinant rat Secretogranin-2, with a working range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.405 ng/mL. Secretogranin-2 is a neuroendocrine secretory granule protein of the chromogranin family that acts as a precursor for biologically active peptides; the protein has a reported molecular weight of 45.7 kDa (UniProt P10362) and is localised to neuroendocrine and endocrine secretory granules. The kit includes Bradford reagent for total protein quantification, supporting sample normalisation.

Reagent components are supplied with specified storage conditions of −20 °C and 4 °C, and duplicate wells are recommended for standards and samples. For research use only.
