Rat S100A6 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this is a sandwich ELISA kit built on a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of S100A6 in rat-derived samples. It is reactive with rat and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) in serum (85-98% / 85-100% / 91-102%), EDTA plasma (85-95% / 83-98% / 90-101%) and heparin plasma (80-99% / 81-100% / 81-97%). Spike-and-recovery across the same three matrices averaged 96% in serum (range 86-103%), 99% in EDTA plasma (range 95-104%) and 100% in heparin plasma (range 97-105%).

The assay uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after a stop step. S100A6 is a member of the S100 calcium-binding protein family involved in cell cycle regulation, differentiation and calcium signalling, and has been implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
