Rat Reverse TriiodothyroninerT3 ELISA Kit

A Competitive ELISA from Assay Genie for the measurement of reverse triiodothyronine (rT3) in rat samples. The assay uses a coated-antigen format with colorimetric readout and is intended for research into thyroid function and metabolism, where abnormal rT3 levels have been associated with various metabolic disorders.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a reported sensitivity of 56.25 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 93.75-6000 pg/mL. Plates are read at 450 nm, and unopened components should be stored at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved.

Linearity in rat serum was 87-101% at 1:2, 88-103% at 1:4, and 90-101% at 1:8 dilution; EDTA plasma gave 83-98%, 82-94%, and 83-101%; heparin plasma gave 85-94%, 85-95%, and 83-98%. Recovery averaged 95% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma, and 93% in heparin plasma.
