Rat Renin (REN) ELISA Kit

Renin is an aspartyl protease released by juxtaglomerular cells of the kidney that catalyzes conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I, the rate-limiting step governing activity of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). Plasma renin concentration is widely used in laboratory studies of blood pressure regulation, secondary hypertension, diabetic kidney injury, and pharmacological interventions targeting ACE, angiotensin receptors, or direct renin inhibitors.

This rat-reactive quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is supplied as a complete kit containing a pre-coated plate of 96 individual reaction wells, matched capture and detection antibodies, calibrated reference standard, dilution and wash buffers, and chromogenic substrate for enzymatic readout. The reagents are intended for use with serum samples, plasma samples, and tissue homogenate preparations collected from rat experimental models. Each kit provides sufficient components for 96 determinations when run in duplicate or as a standard curve plus samples.

Reagents should be stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C until first use, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody activity. For research use only; the kit is not validated for clinical diagnostics or human specimen testing.
