Rat Renalase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of renalase in rat-derived samples. The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types, and is positioned for research applications investigating renalase, an enzyme linked to blood pressure regulation and kidney function and implicated in conditions such as hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and heart failure.

The double-antibody sandwich format delivers a reported sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL across a working range of 3.125-200 ng/mL. The manufacturer reports linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions of 87-102%, 86-103% and 97-100% for serum; 86-93%, 85-96% and 85-99% for EDTA plasma; and 83-101%, 83-95% and 80-100% for heparin plasma (all n = 5). Reported recovery ranges and averages are 88-104% / 96% for serum, 85-103% / 96% for EDTA plasma, and 90-104% / 97% for heparin plasma (all n = 5).

The procedure comprises reagent and plate equilibration, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, addition of a biotinylated detection antibody with a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stop solution addition and absorbance reading at 450 nm. The manufacturer specifies storage at 2-8°C for 12 months, with several components protected from direct light.
