Rat REG4 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of REG4 (Regenerating islet-derived protein 4) in rat samples, using a colorimetric double-antibody detection method. REG4 is a protein involved in tissue regeneration and cell proliferation, and its expression has been implicated in diseases such as cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and diabetes, making it a useful biomarker for related research.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported linearity for rat serum (n=5) spans 84–100% at 1:2, 85–96% at 1:4, and 82–98% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 86–100%, 81–95%, and 90–98% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n=5) shows 85–101%, 93–105%, and 85–101%. Spike-recovery averages are 94% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma.

The protocol comprises reagent and plate preparation, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm following stop solution addition. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
