Rat RBP4 (Retinol Binding Protein 4, Plasma) ELISA Kit (RTES00712)

The microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to rat RBP4. Standards or samples are added, followed successively by a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-HRP conjugate; unbound components are washed away. Substrate produces a blue color in wells containing rat RBP4, the detection antibody and Avidin-HRP, while Stop Solution changes the color to yellow. Optical density is measured spectrophotometrically at "450 nm ± 2 nm" and is proportional to rat RBP4 concentration, which is calculated by comparing samples with the standard curve.
