Rat RANTES/CCL5 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of RANTES, also known as CCL5, in rat samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich configuration with colorimetric detection and targets a chemokine involved in recruiting immune cells to sites of infection or tissue damage.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity in rat serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is reported between 81-101% across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with average spike-recovery values of 94% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma and 90% in heparin plasma. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

The protocol proceeds by equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards and samples on the pre-coated plate and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes. Biotin-labelled detection antibody is then added for 60 minutes at 37°C, followed by HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes and absorbance is read at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
