Poliovirus Receptor Related Protein 1 (PVRL1), also referred to as Nectin-1 or CD111, is a calcium-independent immunoglobulin-like cell adhesion molecule belonging to the nectin family. Assay Genie offers a Rat PVRL1 ELISA Kit as a research-use-only in vitro immunoassay tool for quantitative measurement of this target in rat-derived biological specimens, and it is supplied as a complete kit containing a pre-coated microplate, detection antibody vials, reference standards, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution.

PVRL1 is studied in many biological contexts because it functions as an entry receptor for herpes simplex viruses, contributes to epithelial tight junction organization, supports neural synapse formation, and participates in immune cell signaling and tumor cell adhesion and migration. Rodent model systems are commonly used to investigate these processes, and a rat-specific quantitative assay supports controlled experimental designs in neurobiology, virology, cancer research, and barrier-function studies. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for clinical diagnostic or therapeutic decision-making.

The colorimetric readout works with standard microplate readers, and laboratories generate quantitative results by interpolating sample absorbance values against a standard curve produced from the included reference material. Each kit provides reagents for one plate run, and the manufacturer recommends storing reagents at the conditions specified in the protocol insert to preserve antibody binding activity across the shelf life of the product. Assay Genie provides technical documentation and protocol guidance to help researchers optimize sample dilution, lysis conditions, and standard curve performance for their specific experimental matrices.
