Rat PVALB/Parvalbumin ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of parvalbumin (PVALB) in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with rat species. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 86-104% for serum, 83-97% for EDTA plasma, and 80-99% for heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix). Spike-and-recovery values range from 90-103% (average 92%) for serum, 87-104% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 88-102% (average 95%) for heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix). The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

It also plays a role in neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity, and is used as a biomarker for research into neurological disorders such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease.
