Rat PTH ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit designed for the quantitative measurement of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in rat samples. The assay is configured for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 7.5 pg/mL and a working range of 12.5–800 pg/mL. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.

Spike-and-recovery data show an average recovery of 93% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples, supporting reliable quantification of PTH for research into calcium and phosphorus regulation, bone metabolism, kidney function and endocrine or renal conditions in rat models.
