Rat PTGS2/COX-2 (Prostaglandin Endoperoxide Synthase 2) ELISA Kit (RTES00660)

Assay Genie’s rat PTGS2/COX-2 (Prostaglandin Endoperoxide Synthase 2) ELISA Kit uses a colorimetric sandwich ELISA format to measure PTGS2/COX-2 in rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The target is also known by the synonyms COX2, PGHS-2, PHS-2 and hCox-2. Designed for precise measurement of PTGS2 levels in rat samples, the kit has a stated assay time of 3 h 30 min, a sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and a detection range of 125-8000 pg/mL.

Testing is performed on a pre-coated microplate using a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to rat PTGS2/COX-2 and HRP-conjugated avidin. After TMB substrate solution is added, the colour change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm, and the PTGS2/COX-2 concentration is determined by comparing the optical density of samples with the standard curve.
