Description

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of Proteinase-activated receptor 4 (PAR4) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method in a double antibody sandwich format and is intended for cardiovascular research applications.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Linearity testing showed serum results of 86-105% at 1:2, 91-101% at 1:4, and 80-94% at 1:8 (n=5); EDTA plasma at 90-102%, 87-93%, and 80-98%; and heparin plasma at 93-102%, 82-99%, and 84-100%. Recovery ranges were 89-102% (average 94%) for serum, 88-104% (average 97%) for EDTA plasma, and 87-104% (average 98%) for heparin plasma (n=5). The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Proteinase-Activated Receptor 4 is a membrane-bound receptor that plays a crucial role in blood clotting and inflammation. Abnormal activation of PAR4 has been linked to cardiovascular disorders and thrombosis, making this kit a tool for studying PAR4's role in disease pathology and identifying potential therapeutic targets. PAR4 is also known by the synonyms F2rl3, Coagulation factor II receptor-like 3, and Thrombin receptor-like 3.
