Rat Progranulin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format and is reactive with rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is designed for the detection of progranulin, a protein involved in inflammation, wound healing, and neurodegenerative processes. Dysregulation of progranulin has been associated with Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a measurement range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Linearity data across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n = 5) fall between 80% and 104%. Recovery ranges from 85% to 104%, with reported averages of 96% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma (n = 5). The protocol includes reagent equilibration, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
