Rat Proadrenomedullin/Pro-ADM ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of proadrenomedullin (Pro-ADM) in rat samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 pmol/L and a working range of 1.563-100 pmol/L. Linearity data for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) fall within ranges that begin at 87-103%, 89-100% and 83-96% respectively at the 1:2 dilution, with comparable figures reported at the higher dilutions. Recovery across the same matrices averages 93% (serum), 99% (EDTA plasma) and 97% (heparin plasma).

Proadrenomedullin is a precursor protein implicated in vasodilation, anti-inflammatory effects and regulation of blood pressure, and elevated proADM levels have been associated with sepsis, heart failure and renal dysfunction, making the assay relevant to cardiovascular and metabolic disease research. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
