Rat PRL (Prolactin) CLIA Kit (RTES00031)

A chemiluminescence immunoassay from Assay Genie is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Rat Prolactin (PRL) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay follows a Sandwich-CLIA principle, in which a pre-coated CLIA plate captures Rat PRL with a specific antibody, followed by sequential addition of a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After washing, substrate is added and the Relative Light Unit (RLU) value is measured on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer; RLU values are positively associated with the concentration of Rat PRL and can be read against a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.09 ng/mL, a detection range of 0.16-10 ng/mL, and a recommended sample volume of 100µL, with a total assay time of 3.5 hours. Specificity testing shows recognition of Rat PRL with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues, and reproducibility is reported as intra- and inter-assay CV of <15%.
