Rat Presenilin 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of Presenilin-1 in rat samples and is intended for research into neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, where Presenilin-1 contributes to amyloid precursor protein processing and amyloid-beta production. The assay employs a double-antibody sandwich configuration with colorimetric detection and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and a working range of 125-8000 pg/mL. Linearity was assessed across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions: serum ranged 89-105%, 82-101%, and 86-92%; EDTA plasma ranged 86-104%, 85-94%, and 90-100%; heparin plasma ranged 88-103%, 83-98%, and 81-99%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 93% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma. The standard procedure includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.

Unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
