Rat Prepronociceptin/PNOC ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of prepronociceptin (PNOC) in rat-derived samples. According to the manufacturer datasheet, the assay uses a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The detection method is colorimetric.

Prepronociceptin is a precursor protein central to nociception and pain modulation, making PNOC a relevant biomarker in neuroscience and pain-mechanism research. Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL, with an assay range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity values for serum (n=5) are 89–102% at 1:2, 90–96% at 1:4, and 90–103% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) 89–97%, 84–98%, and 82–97%; for heparin plasma (n=5) 83–100%, 84–96%, and 82–96%. Recovery ranges: serum 92–99% (average 95%), EDTA plasma 86–103% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 86–102% (average 95%).

Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, wash buffer (25×), stop solution and plate sealer.
