This immunoassay from Assay Genie measures Pregnane X Receptor (PXR, NR1I2) protein in rat samples. PXR is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that regulates transcription of cytochrome P450 enzymes (particularly CYP3A isoforms), drug transporters, and phase II conjugation enzymes. It serves as a central regulator of xenobiotic metabolism, hepatic drug clearance, and detoxification pathways relevant to pharmacology and toxicology research.
