Rat Platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (Pecam1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of rat platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1), also known as CD31, in rat samples. The colorimetric assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.086 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an Intra CV of 5.2% and an Inter CV of 7.5%. Linearity was assessed across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) in serum (92–102%, 80–80%, 110–120%, 90–99% at N=5), EDTA plasma (96–104%, 82–92%, 116–126%, 102–111%) and heparin plasma (101–109%, 103–113%, 97–107%, 84–93%). Average recoveries were 80% (range 80–85%) for serum and 81% (range 80–87%) for plasma.

PECAM-1 is a critical cell adhesion molecule required for leukocyte transendothelial migration and is implicated in inflammation, thrombosis and vascular permeability. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant rat PECAM-1 and is intended for research use only.
