Rat PIIINT ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of PIIINT (Procollagen III N-Terminal Peptide, also referred to as P3NT or PIIINP) levels in rat samples. PIIINT is described as a marker of collagen synthesis and turnover, making it a useful biomarker for studies of tissue repair, fibrosis, wound healing and tissue remodelling.

The assay uses a double antibody sandwich detection format, with a reported sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Precision is reported as intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum gave a mean recovery of 94% (range 89-102%); EDTA plasma averaged 97% (range 90-103%); and UFH plasma averaged 95% (range 88-102%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 serial dilutions of spiked samples ranged from 85-105% in serum, 82-98% in EDTA plasma and 80-99% in UFH plasma. The kit is intended for research use only and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.

Validated matrices include rat serum and plasma (EDTA or heparin anti-coagulated), with preparation guidance also provided for urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, tissue lysates and breast milk.
