Rat Phenol Sulfotransferase (PST) ELISA Kit

Phenol sulfotransferases (PSTs) catalyze the transfer of a sulfonate group from PAPS (3'-phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphosulfate) to phenolic substrates, a phase II conjugation reaction central to xenobiotic clearance and the metabolic fate of monoamines and steroid hormones. In rat models, PST activity is a key readout in hepatic, intestinal, and neural tissue studies probing sulfation capacity and inter-individual variability in drug response.

This microplate-based assay from Assay Genie provides researchers with a quantitative tool to measure PST levels across tissue homogenates and cell lysates, requiring 50 µL of sample per well.
