Rat Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (Pparg) ELISA Kit

A solid-phase Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of rat peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG), a nuclear receptor also known as PPAR-gamma, Nr1c3, or nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group C member 3 (UniProt O88275). The kit is reactive with rat samples, with specificity for natural and recombinant rat PPARG, and is intended for research use only.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is reported in serum (N=5) at 105–117%, 105–114%, 98–111% and 105–117%; in EDTA plasma (N=5) at 107–116%, 107–118%, 103–113% and 100–109%; and in heparin plasma (N=5) at 112–122%, 109–117%, 101–111% and 108–117%. Recovery is reported at 98% (range 92–104%) for serum and 100% (range 94–106%) for plasma. Detection is colorimetric.

The target is a nuclear receptor that binds peroxisome proliferators such as hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids and, upon ligand activation, modulates the transcription of target genes through PPAR response elements, regulating the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway of fatty acids.
