Rat Perforin ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's perforin ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format, designed specifically to quantify perforin in rat samples. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with colorimetric readout and absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity in serum is 88–102% (1:2), 92–105% (1:4), and 85–102% (1:8); in EDTA plasma 85–95%, 82–95%, and 82–98%; and in heparin plasma 80–100%, 83–97%, and 80–100%. Recovery averages 97% in serum (range 88–104%), 100% in EDTA plasma (range 90–105%), and 95% in heparin plasma (range 86–104%). Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Perforin is a key protein in the immune response, mediating the cytotoxic activity of T and NK cells, and its dysregulation has been linked to autoimmune diseases, infections, and cancer. The kit is intended for research applications investigating immune function and disease pathogenesis.
