Rat Peptide YY ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a competitive ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Peptide YY in rat samples. The Rat Peptide YY ELISA Kit uses an antigen-coated plate format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. Peptide YY is a hormone involved in regulating appetite and digestion, influencing satiety and energy metabolism, with dysregulation linked to obesity, diabetes, and metabolic disorders.

Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=10) was 86–103% at 1:2, 86–99% at 1:4, and 85–97% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=10) gave 87–104%, 82–95%, and 81–99%; heparin plasma (n=10) gave 95–103%, 84–101%, and 83–100%. Average recovery was 98% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma. The kit references Uniprot P10631 with synonyms including Pyy, Peptide tyrosine tyrosine, Putative peptide YY-2, and Putative peptide YY2.

The procedure adds 50 µL of standard or sample and 50 µL of biotin-labeled antibody per well, incubates 45 minutes at 37°C, washes, develops with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stops, and reads absorbance at 450 nm. Storage is sealed at 2–8°C without cryopreservation.
