Rat PDGF-D ELISA Kit

A high-quality Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, designed for the accurate measurement of PDGF-D (Platelet-derived growth factor D) levels in rat samples. PDGF-D is a growth factor involved in regulating cell growth, proliferation and differentiation, and has been implicated in wound healing, fibrosis and tumorigenesis. The kit is intended for research applications exploring PDGF-D as a biomarker or therapeutic target across different biological contexts.

Validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, the assay uses a double-antibody Sandwich ELISA format with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Storage is at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. Reported linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions ranges from 88–105% for serum, 83–101% for EDTA plasma and 80–100% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 86–102% for serum (average 93%), 89–104% for EDTA plasma (average 99%) and 88–94% for heparin plasma (average 91%).

The assay protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards and samples on the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody (60 minute incubation at 37°C), adding HRP-Streptavidin (30 minute incubation at 37°C), developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
