Rat PDGF-C/Platelet Derived Growth Factor C ELISA Kit

A colourimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor C (PDGF-C) in rat samples. The double-antibody assay supports research into angiogenesis and cell proliferation, where PDGF-C is a key growth factor, and into diseases in which PDGF-C has been implicated, including cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative conditions.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid sample types. It has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions has been demonstrated for serum (100–105%, 85–104%, 88–102%), EDTA plasma (84–100%, 83–97%, 84–98%) and heparin plasma (80–97%, 85–97%, 80–91%) (n = 5). Recovery ranges are 86–104% (average 95%) in serum, 87–103% (average 96%) in EDTA plasma and 85–98% (average 92%) in heparin plasma. The procedure includes reagent and plate equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
