Rat PDGF-BB (Platelet Derived Growth Factor-BB) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of PDGF-BB (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB) in rat samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL.

PDGF-BB is a key growth factor involved in cell growth, proliferation, migration, wound healing, tissue repair, and angiogenesis. Its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and vascular disorders, making it a useful biomarker and therapeutic target. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) ranges from 85-105% at 1:2, 96-105% at 1:4, and 92-104% at 1:8. EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 83-98%, 86-97%, and 82-93% at the same dilutions, and heparin plasma (n=5) 89-98%, 81-100%, and 82-97%. Recovery ranges are 87-94% for serum (90% average), 85-105% for EDTA plasma (95% average), and 86-103% for heparin plasma (96% average).

Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, incubating standards, samples, and controls at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody and incubating at 37°C for 60 minutes, then HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
