Rat PCSK9 (Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9) ELISA kit (RTES01104)

Quantitative measurement of rat PCSK9 (proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9) is supported by a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich ELISA format. The Assay Genie kit includes a microplate pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to the target protein. Standards and appropriately diluted samples are added to the wells, allowing the target analyte to bind to the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific to a different epitope is then added to form a sandwich complex.

Supported sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Following addition of TMB substrate, the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is measured at “450 nm”. Signal intensity is directly proportional to target concentration and is determined using a standard curve.
