Rat Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 2/PTHR2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit provides a tool for measuring Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 2 (PTHR2) levels in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin reporting, with absorbance read colorimetrically at 450 nm after TMB development.

PTHR2 is a receptor that mediates the effects of parathyroid hormone, a hormone that regulates calcium and phosphorous metabolism. Dysregulation of PTHR2 signalling has been linked to bone diseases, metabolic disorders, and kidney diseases, making the receptor a target for research into these areas.

Validated sample matrices include serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 83–99% in serum, 82–101% in EDTA plasma, and 82–100% in heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery performance is 88–105% (average 96%) in serum, 90–103% (average 95%) in EDTA plasma, and 91–99% (average 96%) in heparin plasma. Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
