Rat Paraoxonase 1 (PON1) ELISA Kit

Paraoxonase 1 (PON1) is a calcium-dependent arylesterase synthesized in the liver and tightly bound to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles in circulation, where it contributes to the hydrolysis of lipid peroxides and the detoxification of organophosphate compounds.

This rat-targeted quantitative immunoassay kit from Assay Genie supports PON1 measurement across laboratory sample preparations derived from rat specimens, including tissue homogenates and cell lysates, with additional protocols for cell culture supernatant fractions, plasma samples, and serum fractions. The kit supports research programmes in oxidative stress, vascular biology, hepatology, and toxicology, including studies of atherosclerosis, pesticide exposure responses, HDL-associated enzyme function, and PON1 polymorphism variants in rodent populations.
