Rat pAMPK/Phosphorylated Adenosine Monophosphate ActivatedKinase ELISA Kit

A highly sensitive and specific immunoassay from Assay Genie designed to quantitatively measure phosphorylated adenosine monophosphate-activated kinase (pAMPK) in rat samples. This sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format enables accurate detection across a broad concentration range and is intended for research applications investigating cellular energy regulation and metabolism. AMPK plays a key role in maintaining energy balance, with phosphorylation serving as an important activation mechanism, and dysregulation of its phosphorylation has been linked to metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer.

The assay has a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a working range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with kit components stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance measured at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

The workflow involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes. Reported recovery averages 91% for serum (range 87–97%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 86–102%), and 97% for heparin plasma (range 86–105%), with linearity ranging between 82% and 104% across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions for these matrices.
