Rat Oxytocin receptor (Oxtr) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of oxytocin receptor (OXTR) levels in rat samples, this sandwich ELISA kit uses a colorimetric detection method. It is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant rat oxytocin receptor. The target is a multi-pass G-protein coupled receptor located in the cell membrane (UniProt P70536), which mediates oxytocin signalling through a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.084 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.6% and inter-assay CV is 6.5%. Linearity in serum ranges from 106–118% at a 1:2 dilution to 112–121% at 1:16, with EDTA plasma showing 85–95% to 104–113% and heparin plasma 96–107% to 97–108% across the same dilutions. Recovery is reported as an average of 96% (range 90–102%) in serum and 98% (range 92–104%) in plasma. For research use only.
