Rat OVA sIgM ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the accurate detection of Ovalbumin levels in rat serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. The kit shows reactivity with rat samples and is suited to immunology research where ovalbumin is used as a model antigen, supporting studies of immune responses, tolerance induction, antigen presentation, and vaccine development in rat models.

Sensitivity is 7.5 ng/ml with an assay range of 12.5-800 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric, with the protocol using a TMB substrate and absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit is for research use only and is stored at 4°C for 6 months. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum, plasma (EDTA or heparin as anticoagulant), cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, tissue lysates, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and breast milk.

Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) gave 91-102% with an average of 97%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 87-100% with an average of 94%; and in UFH plasma (n=5) 85-104% with an average of 95%. Linearity testing at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions produced recoveries of 88-103%, 89-102%, and 86-102% in serum; 83-98%, 82-98%, and 84-93% in EDTA plasma; and 82-97%, 88-98%, and 80-99% in UFH plasma. Intra-assay precision is CV <8% and inter-assay precision is CV <10%.
