Rat OSM/Oncostatin M ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of oncostatin M (OSM) in rat samples. Using a double-antibody sandwich configuration with colorimetric detection, it supports research into a cytokine implicated in regulating inflammatory processes, cell growth and differentiation, with relevance to studies of cancer and autoimmune disorders.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with storage at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported analytical performance includes a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL.

Dilution linearity testing across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions returned serum ranges of 85-103%, 82-100% and 81-88% respectively, EDTA plasma ranges of 85-102%, 83-96% and 87-96%, and heparin plasma ranges of 88-104%, 82-96% and 82-97%. Spike-and-recovery testing gave average recoveries of 94% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 97% for heparin plasma.
