Description

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mu-type opioid receptor (OPRM1) levels in rat samples. The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL using colorimetric detection.

The double-antibody sandwich workflow proceeds through reagent equilibration to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with the dismountable microplate and lyophilized standard additionally suitable for 12 months at -20°C once sealed with desiccant.

Validated linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 90-97% / 82-100% / 90-98% for serum (n=5), 86-104% / 89-101% / 80-97% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 85-102% / 85-95% / 82-96% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges are 93-100% (average 95%) for serum, 87-100% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 88-98% (average 92%) for heparin plasma. The kit supports research into the receptor's role in pain modulation and addiction pathways, with related identifiers including Oprm1, M-OR-1, MOR-1, Ror-b, and Opioid receptor B (UniProt P33535).
