Rat Oncostatin M (OSM) ELISA Kit

This Rat Oncostatin M (OSM) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is engineered to quantify OSM, a pleiotropic cytokine of the gp130/IL-6 superfamily first characterized for its antiproliferative activity against melanoma cells. The assay captures OSM using a matched antibody pair immobilized on a 96-well microplate, and signal is generated through an enzymatic reaction read at 450 nm.

A 50 µL aliquot of serum, plasma, or tissue homogenate is required per well, allowing up to 80 unknown samples to be processed in duplicate on a single plate.

Reconstituted standards and concentrated detection antibody should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw degradation, while the sealed microplate and remaining components remain stable at 2-8°C. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic procedures. No significant cross-reactivity is reported with rat LIF, IL-6, or other gp130-family ligands tested.
